An excellent literature review is supposed to summarize and analyze data thus making it easy to compare and contrast other writer’s viewpoints. Another aim is to assist in the writing process. It ensures that the ideas and ideas presented are applicable in the given task. Therefore, a well done literature review enables the tutor to know the things that the student needs to provide in the said assignments.

Writing a good literature review is a process. All writers must find the right technique to follow to come up with a high-quality literature review that will help the professor understand the topic and subject matter presented in the homework assigned. A good literature review consists of five basic sections: Introduction, Thesis, Body, Results, and Conclusion. Each of these sections need to be written excellently because they will determine whether the paper will be accepted or rejected. Each chapter should start with a topic sentence and tell the reader what the chapter is about and what are the main focuses. A thesis is a statement that directly addresses the main topic and helps to lead the student to the next stage of their research. In the prologue, the writer needs to introduce the topic, explain the significance, and give background information about the given subject. A good introduction should give an overview of the topic and give a summary of the thesis statement. Also, the paper should come with a topic sentence that gives a clear explanation for the thesis statement. The next chapter, Body, is a review of the data and facts that the writer mentions in the introduction. It is advisable to include all the sources you used for your research, if any. Write down all the findings of your research using citations and make a summary about them in the body of the paper. Each part will need to be argued in the right manner using one or two main arguments. Also, make sure to distinguish the facts from opinion. Make a list of every other author’s viewpoint, i.e., authors A to G, in alphabetical order. Another point to keep in mind is that the article’s body is a summary of what you just summarized in the previous sections. You should not introduce your thesis statement and end with an opinion, which might confuse the reader and make them not to read the rest of the paper. In summary, a review should not exceed two pages because it is a simple page that needs to have a good introduction, main body, and a conclusion. Each paragraph should include one main idea, supporting statements, and a counter-argument. Make a good table of content and headings for each section, and end with a call to action.Overall, the literature review should not be longer than / of the total work. Your conclusion should summarize all points discussed in the body and conclude with something else to remind the reader of the thesis statement.
